A popular phrase from Paul Saffo: “it takes 30 years to create an overnight sensation.” But that was in the old days, when information took longer to cycle. Now perhaps we are moving to dog years. So divide by seven. Let’s say it now takes roughly 7 years to create an overnight sensation.
A few people have been writing blogs for more than a decade. I’ve bee enjoying reading these “oldies but goodies” Life was so much different. I think people were generally freer and more optimistic (I have no scientific proof for that).
This is more than nostalgia. I think there are gems of wisdom to be found.
